Speed Racer (3 of 5 stars)
So it’s been a movie weekend. Loretta, the kids and I went to see Speed Racer today. We all liked it. There is a ton of action and it has some very long and cool race scenes in it. I felt like I was watching a 2 hour version of the Pod Race from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The feel of the movie is kind of fun. It’s like a darker version of the show Lazy Town, which my kids used to watch on TV. My only complaint is that for a movie that seems to be made and marketed to kids, it had some unnecessary language in it. Overall it was good flick. 3 out of 5 stars.
